Details

The Global Mentorship Program will pair experienced UCSB students with inexperienced ones to foster connection and support the integration of new Global Gauchos.

Anyone interested in supporting a new international student, and who has been at UCSB for at least three quarters, is encouraged to become a MENTOR. Mentors will receive training and volunteer hours from Health & Wellness.

New international students, including exchange students, who have been at UCSB for less than three quarters can signup as MENTEES. Mentees will receive academic and social life guidance from mentors.

Global Mentorship Picnic Social

The Global Gaucho Commission is launching the Global Mentorship Program Social to create an interactive space and opportunity for participants of the Global Mentorship Program to talk and meet new friends. By incorporating a picnic-style setting, the event fosters a more casual and welcoming atmosphere that encourages conversation, community-building, and engagement among mentors and mentees. Attendees will be able to enjoy food, interactive activities, and open social time, enhancing the overall experience and making it easier to meet new people and strengthen connections within the Global Mentorship Program.
