Details

CARE will be hosting a workshop/community service event for UCSB students, focusing on raising awareness about relationship violence in observance of October as Relationship Violence Awareness Month.

Participants will receive a presentation from CARE where they will learn statistics around relationship violence, its impact on individuals + various communities, recognize signs of healthy/unhealthy relationships, and reflect on what they can do to continue making an impact in their communities. Throughout the discussion, participants will be tying purple ribbons with safety pins and writing the CARE logo on them. These ribbons will be distributed throughout the month: while CARE is tabling, directly to various departments, and in a bowl at the CARE front desk.
