The Campus Advocacy, Resources and Education (CARE) Office would like to invite you to Step In: Stalking Awareness and Bystander Intervention,. Stalking is a traumatizing victimization rooted in power and control over another person, yet pop culture and media tend to romanticize stalking behaviors. This interactive workshop is designed to help you better understand stalking, a deeply traumatizing victimization, and learn how to take effective action as an active bystander.

In this workshop, the CARE Prevention team will:

1.) Define stalking + its behaviors and show pop culture examples that romanticize these harmful actions,

2.) Guide you through real-life scenarios so you can recognize stalking behaviors,

3.) Teach and help you practice the 3 D’s of bystander intervention so you can learn how to safely intervene to stop harm from happening.

This workshop is a brave space for you to explore how you can safely step in and compassionately support others. Everyone has a role to play in helping prevent harm, so come learn what you can do!

Food will also be provided!
