For anyone interested in journalism, communication, or the impact of free speech on society. Join us as a panel of public interest media law and First Amendment experts discusses current issues in Free Speech and the Internet, including Section 230 (the law the protects online services from legal liability for speech by their users), social media blocking and amplification, and the five social media cases the Supreme Court is considering this term, among other topics. The panel will be moderated by David Greene of Electronic Frontier Foundation, and include as panelists Katie Townsend of Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, Kelley Bregenzer of Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, Samantha Hamilton of the University of Georgia Law School’s First Amendment Clinic, and Lena Shapiro of the University of Illinois Law School’s First Amendment Clinic.
