Pi Phi 5k for Literacy

This event will take place during our spring philanthropy week and Loved Ones
Weekend. This event is open for registration 3 weeks in advanced for the whole
community and loved ones who will be in town that weekend. Tickets will be $15
to run and no t-shirt and $25 to run and get a T-shirt. The early registration will
have option to pick T-shirt size, and there will be tickets sold at the event as well
with extra T-shirts to sell till they run out. Sizes pre-selected in the early
registration will be pulled to ensure people get the size they ordered, but first
come first served for onsite tickets for t-shirts. We will have bibs on site to write
number on while people check in. A table for registered runners, and a table for
ticket purchasing. Waivers will be signed as part of the check in process as well.
The check in, course directions, time keeper, and check out, will be run by other
member of Greek life in return for service hours. Check-in will start at 8:15 with
the race starting at 9:15 and clean up will begin at 11:30 or when the last racer
crosses the finish line. This event will take place on the Lagoon Lawn with the
route being up and around the lagoon to campus point and back (3.1 miles). There
will be prizes for top placement in 3 categories: Male, Female, loved one. Prize will
range from caje gift card and assorted gifts donated from different running brands
that o DPRM will reach out to. There will be food, energy drinks, and Lemonade
(this will be lemonade for literacy which I will fill out a separate EIF for) being
sold at the lawn for specters and runners.
