Black Scholars Soirée

As a marginalized community at UCSB, Black students have the opportunity to reside in the Black Scholars Living Learning Communities in Santa Rosa and Sierra Madre & San Joaquin Villages. In order to bridge the gap between two communities during Black History Month, we invite students, faculty, and staff to join an event to celebrate Black excellence at the Black Scholars Soirée. The intent of the event is to make the 2% of Black students, faculty and staff on campus feel celebrated and showcase their commitment to their community, education, and involvement.
