DakhaBrakha creates a world of unexpected new music, weaving Ukrainian folk melodies into a subversive musical tapestry that embraces indie rock, pop, hip hop, the avant-garde and traditional instrumentation from around the world.

Come early to attend Ukraine Fest from 5 to 8 PM in front of the Granada Theatre featuring bandura musician Siuzanna Iglidan and dancers from the Ukrainian Art Center of Southern California.

Ukraine Fest

UCSB Arts & Lectures presents the FREE Ukraine Fest from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday, Oct. 6 in front of the Granada Theatre before the DakhaBrakha concert at 8 PM. The event will feature bandura musician Siuzanna Iglidan who appeared alongside John Legend during the 2022 Grammy Awards and dancers from the Ukrainian Art Center of Southern California. Come to experience Ukrainian craft displays including painted eggs (pysanka) and embroidery, information about Ukraine, its history, and current relief efforts. Look for sunflowers, the national flower of Ukraine and enjoy a "Sunflower" cocktail at The Good Lion.
