Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) in the Outdoors! Discussion on Equity

UCSB Adventure Programs is very proud to offer an ongoing series of Zoom discussions by our student staff guides and leaders to raise awareness for and curate conversation on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) in relation to outdoor recreation.

JEDI Workshop 2 – Discussion on Equity: This workshop will focus on the “E” in JEDI, Equity. Here we’ll focus on recognizing the advantages and disadvantages of race, class, sex, ability, etc and how this affects people in outdoor recreation. To discuss this topic, we hope to invite individuals to discuss their experiences in the outdoors in a safe and inviting space.
