Leave No Trace Awareness Workshops- Plan Ahead and Prepare for your Outdoor Adventure!

Learn outdoor wilderness ethics!

Each week, we present one of the 7 Principles of Leave No Trace!

Monday | 4:00 pm | Oct 5th | Leave No Trace Principle 1

UC Santa Barbara Department of Recreation's Adventure Programs is proud to offer Leave No Trace Awareness online workshops presented by one of our student staff trainers in an online format for the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics.

Principle 1 - Plan Ahead and Prepare includes interactive live Zoom meetings/instruction, participation and presentation. The goal is for participants to finish the course feeling confident in their abilities to help minimize outdoor impacts and spread Leave no Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics information on to others

Awareness Online Workshops are an hour or less in time per Principle presentation. Workshops emphasize skills and techniques essential to Leave No Trace but are less comprehensive than our trainer courses. A workshop is a practical introduction to inspire responsible outdoor recreation.

Created for students and staff, perfect for groups or orgs, ideal for every outdoor enthusiast, an awareness workshop is both entertaining and educational. 45-60 minutes including presentation, discussion and Q&A.

A Leave No Trace Awareness Certificate will be awarded to all those who fully participate and complete all 7 Leave No Trace Principle workshops this quarter!!!

Join us weekly on Zoom for these valuable 45-60 minute interactive workshops!
