Nikkei Culture Night: Unearthed

UCSB NSU is proud to present the second annual Culture Night! We will be picking up where we left off in 2020 when Culture Night was unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic.
Our production, "Unearthed", will tell the story of a college student who learns about her family's experience as Japanese Americans incarcerated during WWII. She will come face-to-face with the lasting implications of intergenerational trauma within her family and how this resonates with the future.
Join us on May 14, 2022, as we showcase Japanese American culture through our Soranbushi team, individual talent acts, and our very own drama cast!
