Dr. Porchia Moore, Assistant Professor, School of Art and Art History, University of Florida, will will share reflections on museums in the Information Age, her journey as a museum professional, and provide an overview of the rise of museum activism. This talk will examine the role of race and interrogating the structure of museums in the 21st century. Dr. Moore will reflect on the viability and possibilities of DEIA and share reflections on how museums and their professionals are poised to lead positive resistance to historic systems of oppressions and racial and social inequalities.
