After two years on hiatus, our IPS Meet & Eats are back! Come learn about opportunities funded by the Individualized Professional Skills (IPS) Grant Program. You'll hear from students about how they used their grant money to pursue a variety of external professional development opportunities. The program organizers will also provide an overview of the program, recent changes, and how to create a strong application. We'll bring the food, you bring your curiosity and questions!

This Meet & Eat will feature presentations by Caragh Barry, graduate student in Spanish and Portuguese, who participated in the Southern California School of Interpretation Online Court Interpreter Program, and Bridget Vincent, graduate student in Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology, who attended Smithsonian Tropical Research Insititute's Training in Tropical Taxonomy: Systematics and biology of Ctenophora and Medusozoa in Bocas del Toro, Panama.

The Individualized Professional Skills (IPS) Program is currently accepting applications from current graduate students and postdocs in ALL DISCIPLINES for experiences happening between August 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis and as funding sources permit. Applicants may submit proposals for either virtual or in-person experiences. Visit the program website to find out more.
