Data visualizations are powerful tools to illustrate patterns and insights from research findings. Yet making these visuals effective depends on their appropriateness to the data type(s), how well they're designed, and how accurate they are. Join us to learn what makes good data visuals and what mistakes to avoid. We'll look at real-life good and bad examples, and you'll leave with valuable tips to improve your graphics. Attendees should bring their own device (e.g. laptop, tablet) in order to work on their presentations and receive feedback.

This workshop fulfills PART 2 of the Fundamentals in Public Speaking Certificate. Attendees must ensure that they are BOTH checked in AND checked out on Shoreline by one of our staff members in order for their attendance to count toward the certificate requirements.
