We will work from 9am to 12pm. We will be working on planting native coastal scrub plants in disturbed areas of the reserve in an effort to restore areas previously impacted by human land use.
We will provide tools and gloves. Volunteers should bring water and a snack. Please ask your participants to wear clothing appropriate for working in the dirt. Participants should wear pants, close-toed shoes, and appropriate sun protection. Volunteers without close-toed shoes will not be allowed to participate.
We will also require everyone to wear a mask and anyone with a recent close exposure or showing any symptoms of COVID 19 should not attend.
There will be no bathrooms on site. Parking is limited so participants will need to either carpool or bike to the work site.
We will meet at the Veneco Rd gate. It is located off of Sierra Madre Court and it can be a little trick to get to the right place. The directions to get there are as follows: turn onto Sierra Madre Ct from Storke Rd. Follow Sierra Madre until makes a 90┬░ turn to the left. Instead of staying on Sierra Madre continue just a little farther and turn left onto the dirt road that runs parallel to it. Follow this down to the meeting spot. I have attached a map which shows the meeting location.
