Whole PhD Part 3 - Mentors & mentoring

Take a break, grab a bite to eat, and join us for an in-person session designed specifically for graduate students and postdocs! These gatherings are a space to connect, share resources, and explore five key themes supporting personal and professional growth during your academic journey. We’re excited to bring the Whole PhD series back with in-person events starting April 29th at Elings Hall 1605! Each week, we’ll explore a new topic focused on navigating the challenges that lie beyond the PhD—while you’re still deep in the middle of it. We will have peers and professionals sharing their experiences and tips in engaging conversations.
Each week, we’ll also follow up with helpful links and resources to help you stay organized, clear your head, and keep moving forward, both personally and professionally. We can’t wait to see you there!
Whole PhD series is hosted at the University of California, Santa Barbara by the Professional Development Series (PDS) for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars at the Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships, the DoD HBCU/MI project (W911NF-23-1-0291; PI David Weld), the NSF BioPACIFIC MIP (DMR-1933487), and the NSF ExFAB (DBI-2400327).
